Hi Clivey,
It is a 1972 Australian XA Ford Falcon hardtop, painted in Ford's 1973 factory race colours similar to the car that won the 1973 Bathurst race.
Actually, it is not a GT, but a Fairmont (which was the upmarket model of the Falcon). I have had the '351GT' badge put on the rear, but probably won't put the same badges on the front wings or grille. There is a huge debate/argument/sour grapes in Australia about clones and cloning. Real GT's are getting expensive now.

For all you didn't know you wanted to know about Falcons, may I refer you to my little website.
(and thanks to Dave and Henry for the website inspiration, MattH for the encouragement, James Bratby for being patient, Steve Case and Duncan - both former Falcon owners - for website photos of their old cars)

The snag, of course, is that it is still in Australia. It's been a loooooong wait.

Never really bee a fan of Aussie cars - until I saw THAT! Thats a real nice car. Can see more than juust a bit of Mustang in there.
Cant remember ever having seen one of those before but I could DEFINATELY see myself buying one if I was in the market for another car. Do you know how many of them are there in the UK Sandy?
