Some Help Please Guys
Hi there.
Please could you help me on some stuff.
I need My front Bench Seat covering(i have the materials allready),the nearest place to lincolnshire?
Is there any site that show diagrams of engine rebuilds etc for a 383?
Ive been looking all over the net for stuff on Chrysler Newport 1965,but cant seem to find anything.
Is there somewhere ya can get an Haynes Manual for Chrysler Newports?
Is there anyway of finding out the original colour of the car?
Any help i would be greatfull.
Thank you very much.
Regards.
Karl.

Finding out the original colour and other items should be straight forward enough, there is a metal tag (normally on drivers side inner wing) with letters and numbers. They decode what the car was built with. Put em here on the board and Im sure we can help.
Have you tried searching for Newport on Google, that usually brings up alsorts of info.
I hate to say it, but ebay can be really useful for info, you can see how restored cars look and you might find the manuals (including ones on CD).
Depending how far you want to go, I would be tempted to have a local upholsterer deal with the seats

Thankx for the info guys:)
Because im not that clued up with this sort of stuff, and because the car basically only needs a Spray Job,Front bench seat Recovering and a reall good inside Valet Inside..is it a good idea for me just to do these things, and not attempt to fully Restore it,ie Strip to the shell?
I could Maybe do a full restore in the future.
But i'll also take out engine and paint up and paint in arches etc etc, maybe underneath if i could figure a way of getting it up without a 4 poster?
Is it just Tereasol Underbody i need for this?
And anyone know please the best paints for doing Engine block, and Rocker Covers etc etc?,also is there a paint ya can use on the Hoses?or any other way of making em look better, coz im on a bit of a budget ya c.
Hope im not asking too many questions and sounding Dumb

Karlos,
Have a look in the paint section on the site for US Automotive. They do quite a good range of VHT High Temp engine enamels in rattle cans. I think they are good (but others on here may not agree)
Also, go to the website for Frost Auto Resotrations. Paint section again, I am sure they will have a product for your hoses. Frosts are an excellent source for resto products.
Dont worry about asking questions. The cleverest Mopar lovers on here still do from time to time and we all need to start somewhere.
