The Goat, Hertford Heath, Oct 5th

Post by RobTwin »

Made the most nice weather on Sunday and took the Satty to The Goat at Hertford Heath for their monthly Sunday lunchtime (1st Sun of the month) meet that's been on there for, ooh must be 30 years? As you can see, matey Paul dusted off his 66 'Goat' too.

Usual mix, and pretty busy too, for an October meet.....

Sorry if you don't like old Astons but this would have been my choice if I could have taken any of the cars home - DB2/4 =P~

And back at Stu's, Paul offered to help look at the Polara's 'dodgy' door latch. But that's another story/thread...

Were your ears burning Blue?
Paul & I were talking to Gary Layton (his black 66 Nova, which was sprayed in 2003 by the way) and your name cropped up.
Something to do with your 'column' ?
ooer.
Very talented chap.

Hi Rich, it's on the first Sunday of every month, all year round. Unless Nov 2nd is as warm & sunny as Oct 5th was, we prob wont think of going again till next spring....

Yeah, sorry, I saw the Q plate, it was the USA sticker and the plate surround that made me think it was an import , but it still doesn't look like a plastic one!

Taking those pics of the Cobra was as close as I got to it unfortunately so I didn't get to see how genuine it looked close up - I spose the Q plate threw me - I always think 'kit car' when I see a Q

Apart from that tho, it does look like a proper one. Rod Leach, who started this meet all those years ago, often brings a good 'recreation' along, so it might be one of his.... :-k
