engine colour

Post by Ed »

I know it doesn't really matter what colour it is, but, whats the score with the blue or orange colours?
My coronet is a 65, but the engine im building (slowly) is a 1971 440 HP from a Jensen, which was black..
The car is white, the engine bay is black..
Will the orange colour give me more horse powers?

Unless you have upgraded the chassis, stay away from the florescent orange, it can be a killer on weak drive trains....

Yes orange is faster.......!

small v8s were red 273V8 early chrylser red

most v8s seem to be turqiose unless performance engine

hemis and wdeges i think were orange but not the same as external top coat hemi orange that just got its name from the ornage on hemis

aussie engines were blue/turquoise

"hot" aussie engines were nearly early chrylser red

race engines were grey

can't go wrong with RED or Ornage

chevy geranium red is halfway between the 2 and more like Aussie hemi ornage/red but not. aussie hemis are the same red/ornage as in an RT badge

its a mine field

what engine did the car have
what engine has it now got

choose one of them
