inlet manifold

Post by Ed »

Until I find a cheap inlet I might have to go with the old 10 ton inlet manifold. Have any of you blocked the exhaust heat riser passage to keep the inlet mixture cooler? If so, how?
Cheers

A bit of shim steel does the trick. I seem to remember Fel pro make valley pans that don't have that hole punched out as well.

What engine - not all Big Blocks are the same.

Often the valley trays have the heat bypass blocked off or you can use thin Aluminium.........

Should be easier than than a 383 / 400 then.

Good old eBay or WASP, I have even shipped one direct from Mancini's or Summit racing.

Depending on your application / use you will either want a Single or Dual plan one, most people opt for a dual plane for street use (easier on hood clearance too!!)

Alternatively, you could go for a tunnel ram!!!

one of these , valley trays with the hear riser ports blocked off ,

felpro , mopar performance , sealed power , make them , have used all three , identical parts , just different manufacturers ,

last Felpro one I ordered from summit , was on back order for months , so had a sealed power one instead
