What trans?

Just weighing up ALL my options before I start tearing it apart...

If I were to use my 360 together with my 360 converter, will any 904 or 727 SB trans mate up OK? I seem to remember something about old and new trans being different. Does it depend on the year of the motor? I think mine is a later one.

I know Dunc..... Just got a garage with bits in it. including the motor & convertor, So thought I might as well get the correct trans for it, just in case.
Just wanna make sure I go the right route you know?

Can't use car at the mo... too much snow...

any smallblock transmission will bolt to your block 727 or 904, but you have to have the 727 verter-727 box 904 verter/904 box verters will not swap,,,,, and all must have a big balance weight or no balance weight but after market flex plate with a big lump cut out,,-
