RIP pete valek (big block) mma member

petes wife contacted me today to say pete valek aka big block on here passed away today at 3.15. he had been battling with cancer all last year but was never one to broadcast it, ive had lots of great races and beers etc with pete and he will be truly missed at the track, some of you wont know him but pretty sure you recognise the car, RIP BROTHER

That's terrible news, so sad; and explains why he had the car up for sale.

Always liked a quick chat with him in the Fire-up lanes.

Sincere condolences to all his family, he will be missed.........

Thats awfull news, a really nice guy my heart goes out to his family he was a young fella in his prime, life is so unfair, rip pete, keep on racin up there buddy,,,

That's sad news. like Blue I don't think I ever met him, condolences to all the family.

I'm really sorry to hear this. I knew about Pete's illness about 2 years ago. I never realised it was so far advanced. I spoke with him recently about him selling his car and said it might be better to wait until spring. Hey Pete if your listening up there - I'm really glad you got that 11 sec run you always wanted. RIP.

Jim told me earlier today, very sad, I met him a few times in the fire up lane, pushed him a couple of times.
Hope his wife and family are coping ok.

Is it ok to suggest that we might have a collection and send flowers to the service from the club?

As I'm a fairly new on here of just a couple of years i never had the pleasure of meeting him. All the same I would like to give my condolences to all his family and friends.

Wow, that came out of the blue, i've spoken to him a few times at shakey, seemed a real down to earth guy, very sad.
