Looking for safer than oem. What are you guys using for safe front seat belts?

I have installed 3 point inertia belts in a "B" body in the past and that was pretty straightforward

Any install pics. My concern is that the retractors wil need to be angled back and the aftermarket ones I see require a vertical retractor set up

Same here, the mounting points were all there.
I just put lap belts in the centre seats though.

i got a set out of a SsangYong Koranda in a breakers. I tried the original statics and they are awful, couldn't reach the steering wheel.
These are 3 point inertia reel, just had to mount them on the heel board with a captive nut welded to a thicker plate, and use the other existing mounts.
Safety wins over originality with seat belts.

Got Securon 3 point inertias on mine - you can angle the whole retractor as long as you have the adjustable bit on the back vertical ... hard to explain but not difficult to achieve! I'll dig out the part number and web link when I get on the laptop if you like.

Thanks mate, good pics. I was hoping to use a set up with the retractor at floor level as it looks cumbersome up in the roof line.

They do that too (that's the set-up I had on my Mustang)

Just click on the layouts and see what combinations they have.

I went on their site and in most cases it seem to indicate that the retractor must be vertical which is not possible.

That may well be the case for floor-mounted ones. My Mustang ones were at a slight angle, but I guess if you're talking about more than a few degrees from vertical, they may not work. Might be worth contacting them for advice if nothing else turns up?

Edit:

The 264 types are adjustable, so don't need to be vertical?

Thanks Anton, nice job. Those front belts would fit mine perfectly I reckon. Can you tell me what they are from or where sourced?
Thanks,
