Stroker kit for a 440

Has anyone bought a stroker kit or parts or had any dealings with Muscle Motors of Michigan.

Nick Wood ("Nick" on here) has dealt with MM and could give advice.

I brought a couple in from 440 Source a few years ago, easy to deal with and no problems at all.

I can confirm that they were very good, however the price has increased considerably since then and no longer a "cheaper" option.

I dealt with Muscle Motors. Got my cylinder heads and bunch of stuff from them. Very good people. If you want stuff you may have to wait as they are usually busy especially this time of year.

Hi Guys, thanks for the replies input gratefully received, contacted 440 source asked about stroker kit and also possibly going procharged informed me that they did not do 'blower pistons'.

Try Hans at SixPack Speedshop, he'll bring it over with him in July for you too, he's always up for doing a good deal for MMA members and he understands 'our' engines oerfectly

Plus 440 Source are made and finished in China, these days. Scat and Hughes are made in China too (I dare say most are these days) but are finished back in the States. And its all about the finish. But you would be getting the assembly balanced anyway, the machine shop could sort any discrepancies out.

I wouldn't worry about the being made in China thing. Their gear is a lot more modern than many US and UK engineering places I have seen.

My Chinese Eagle crank was bloody spot on.

My stroker is from 440 source, pretty much every thing is made out there, quality must be ok for them as they put their name on it.

There is SOME quality stuff coming out of China, I've had plenty of 440 source stuff, no problems with any of it. As Dave points out it's not like American made stuff is totally without it's problems either....

There is, I agree, but what we don't know John is how much prep all those parts get before they go out to the customer. I can buy Ally BB heads/H-beam rods and pistons Direct myself, BUT quality control is imperitive I would say and I don't have the time or inclination tbh.

That strange as I'm sure there website listed a blower piston option
