London Hooning to The Ace

Post by Kev »

Set off with my fare for the day, Philth, at about 12. Got onto the A406 (North Circular) from the A13. Square wheeled for over an hour queuing to be sent off at Ilford. Decided to Hoon through the middle of London; Stratford, Mile End, Roman Rd, Shoreditch, Old Street, Farringdon, Holborn, Kings Cross, Marylebone, Paddington; where I went to my work and filled the doorkeeper's hut with smoke, burning out in the garage! Then got him to put a fresh tape in the CCTV and did a monster smokey for the cameras outside! 8) Onwards through Abbey Road, Maida Vale, Lords and Hampstead then up onto the North Circular at Brent Cross rolling into The Ace at 4 o'clock  Great to see such a huge turnout...NOT! :D One OldHen of our era and a few Moanaros and a TVR who could spin his wheels in the wet  . Quick bite to eat and a coffee. Then a speedy egress onto the M1, splash o'gas at the services then a fast run round the M25 getting home about 5.30 after a quick hoon around Upminster and Hornchurch. ?40 of fuel well spent I'd say! There are pics of the Taxi on quite a few cameraphones around London today 8) What with the traffic a lot of people were asking about the car and the smiles and waves were great! Even got a wink from the ladies

Given the interest in the taxi Kev maybe you should sling in a back seat and take tourists for a few hoonin trips. Fares and tips should be good. Not sure about the insurance though

I had to leave by about 2:30 to get back to Cov. Just as well I did as I queued most of the way up the M1.
