intake recommendations please

Post by Ed »

currently looking at aluminium intake for my 440 build.
I'm thinking I need to match it with the camshaft I have used..

The cam kit I used (not the best but it was free and brand new)
is the old mopar performance jobby which probably isn't the most suitable (but was free) gives this

Basic Operating RPM Range:
2,200-6,000

Intake Duration at 050 inch Lift:
241

Exhaust Duration at 050 inch Lift:
241

Duration at 050 inch Lift:
241 int./241 exh.

Advertised Intake Duration:
284

Advertised Exhaust Duration:
284

Advertised Duration:
284 int./284 exh.

Intake Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio:
0.484 in.

Exhaust Valve Lift with Factory Rocker Arm Ratio:
0.484 in.

Soooo, any recommendations?

They are the same intake. The second one is a Performer RPM with Mopar cast into it by Edelbrock. Good intakes so take your pick, I prefer to see Mopar on the engine rather than Edelbrock.

WASP would get one for you, not likely to be stocked by anyone in the UK.
