Can anybody id the problem here, oil in No 1 exhaust branch not external no expert but could it be a crack in head at an oil port.

Bottom pic shows engine running and tapering colour change top pic engine turned off but oil always there not burning off.

I can't really see much on the photo.

I assume 440 R/B?

The only place oil goes up under pressure is on one of the Rocker Stands, whilst there are several drain back points, just under gravity.

I would have thought that would be some way away from the Header pipe.

Are you absolutely sure it is not a Rocker Box leak, they can be deceptive...

Nun of the above I think will check again tomorrow,with the engine running it wont burn away the oil no oil anywhere except on that branch think i'm goin bonckers.

With the long journey home from the HRDs the rocker cover breather had picked up some oil with back pressure and dripped oil onto exhaust.
