Chryslers at Brooklands 2017 ( We're back )

Post by Derek »

As you can see by the title we have our own show back at Brooklands from 2017, after many emails and phone calls I got the answer that I wanted, I was determined not to give up and it has paid off :thumbright: The support that I got from other clubs and individuals helped make it all worth will.

2016 is a NO due to all the building work that is going on and hangers being dismantled and moved, they say it will make more space for shows like ours. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Are we there yet dad ..... 10 to the gallon but worth it.

To keep them happy everyone has to do a huge burnout, is that right?

Feel free, but anyone that does will be straight out of the club. No messing.

Agree with that last bit 1000% Pete, but we absolutely cant afford to have any more burnouts, or even any failed attempts. Newer members may not realise this is the 2nd time Derek's had to get on his hands and knees (almost literally!) to get us back in after non-members had ruined it for the rest of us

Well done Derek, thanks for your persistence and hard work to convince them to let us back there :salute:

Well done Del, Brooklands is a great event and worth all your efforts to get us back there, but we as a club must police this event if we want to avoid any more problems.
There are a host of other events throughout the year where you can act the fool without problems if that's what you want to do, but Brooklands is not one of them. I think all the advertising/promotion for this event should make it clear what kind of event it is.

Great news, well done., sure it was not easy.

I come from down that way, went for a interview at British Aerospace Brooklands when I left school, so will be good to cruise back down there in 2017 in the Charger, see if my best man still lives in Weybridge.

He was the first person I went to show of my first Charger in, some 34 years ago !!!

Great effort Del :thumbright: Though I find it ironic that the home of motor racing doesn't like black lines

Brilliant news Derek, to be frank I thought we'd lost it forever. I'm not a fan of static shows, but I always enjoyed it...good on yer cock! :thumbright:
