which way round for dished washers on shock mount rear

Post by Dave999 »

hello

as it says

the shocks at the rear bolt up with dish shaped washers either side of the rubber bushes

should they cup the end of the rubber or should they pin the middle near the bolt in tight letting the rubber bulge towards the edges

neither way looks particularly good

i.e conCAVE in towards the rubber, convex to the nut or concave out towards the metalwork or nut.

(0) or )0(

currently (0) cos that's how it was with the old shocks

(0). The only washers I've come across on a Mopar that go the other way round are on the strut rod bushes in the K frame.

yeah but there is nothing worse than your bushes being gripped the wrong way.
