Manual Steering Box to "K" Frame bolt Torque

I have just been through the manual and unless I missed it there is no specified torque for the 3 bolts that hold the box to the "K" Frame.

I appreciate that they need to be "FT" but I was thinking of torquing them to 60 Foot lbs.

Any views please?

Thanks

Pete

Thanks Dave - I have fabricated and welded in braces in the past, but that still does not stop the bolts coming loose!!!

drill and wire the heads (coat hanger works :) )

or put the bend over tabs usually reserved for lower ball joint to stub mounting on

or if the bolts don't end in a blind hole nylock the stub that sticks through the welded on nut or threaded section of the K

as you can tell I have no idea how a US box mounts up

mine is tied to the chassis rail with bog roll and envelope sticky.

last resort

dip the bolts in salt water :) they'll soon rust in place
