Custom Exhaust fabrication - Herts / Cambs / Essex area???

Post by Pete »

Hi there.
Now I have got the Coronet running, I need to get the new(ish) replacement headers which have 3 1/2" Collectors connected to the existing 3" system.

The replacement Headers are about 7" longer and at a different angle to the old ones so its not just a case of a bit of flexi-hose or a simple bolt on adaptor.

Also, I will need to trailer the car and old exhaust system to the place as the car is Biblically loud on open headers, so I would like to travel as little as possible.

Does anyone have any leads on a reliable and competent company that could help me out, thanks. Need this done pretty quick so I can get the car back on the road, thanks.

Cheers

Pete

'Barry the Bender' (no, really!) has a good reputation. Not sure exactly where he is based tho, but Aylesbury rings a bell.

And he's big Harley man too 8-)

I'll have a google and let you know...

EDIT - Barry Grimes, based in Hemel Hempstead. Mob - 07917 383654

He's a member on R&S - username Barry the Bender :)

Thank you, I did some digging and I think he is based in Hemel Hempstead, that could be a "plan B".

Cheers.

We spoke to him at the Ace Café a few years ago and I think he mentioned Aylesbury somewhere in the conversation. Maybe lives in Aylesbury and works in Hemel...

Hi Pete
You might want to give my mate Mark a call at Power and Performance, he has done several stainless steel systems for me and many others over the years and I rate his work very highly. He specialises in custom fabrication of all kinds and you can get him on 01603 880060 and is based just off the A47 at Honningham your side of Norwich.
Good Luck

Yes - He can still do stuff I think, but has stopped it as main activity. Barry the Bender is now Barry the Blaster apparently. Has some hi-tech sonic thingy that can bring soft stuff like carbs back to brand new.

You heard it here first 'Barry the Blaster'.
