The present is turbos I reckon, the Mopar guys were very late to the party.

Very true, typical lack of after market parts / knowledge / investment / testing.
Minority brand.
EVERYTHING seems to be BBC these days, cheap and available.

If max power for least expense is the goal, very hard to beat.

It is, and as usual Mopars only answer to that is the gen 3 hemi and you don't see those being tuned to death and retro fitted wholesale. If I build another car, turbo small block or gen 3 would definitely be considered.

Hard to argue with... and EFI as well
I know you like your carbs but esp with a turbo just seems EFI is so much more straightforward. There is quite a bit of Gen 3 support now....orders of magnitude less than LS of course but that's just like the old school SBC & SBM all over again!
