Warning light connector

Post by freighdog »

So I had a minor victory tonight, I got the parking brake to activate the "Brake System" light. I found the wire was left disconnected after the UK light conversion.

The next problem is the connection to the proportioning valve. The original plug is similar to a spark plug type and appears correct for the car ('67 Dart), but the switch/sensor on the valve appears to be the mechanical plunger type from another model, it would require the connector below. I guess this was done for the front disc conversion.

I guess I have two options, change the plug or change the switch. Can someone tell me if the earlier switch will ft and work in a later proportioning valve? If not, does anyone have a connector before I go to fleebay?

This is what I think I have fitted, note it uses a plunger to make ground

and this is what I think is was originally, this I guess uses the piston to make ground
