426 Hemi Challenger

Post by Garp »

In a garage in London today I lifted a tarpaulin to reveal an orange, colour correct 426 Hemi Challenger
This has been in storage for several years and needs some work
Is this yours?
Location not divulged, curious ...

Without being too precise on location is this in the the Battersea area as there was a similar sounding car in an underground car park in that area many years ago.? There can't be too many Orange Hemi Challengers lurking about in garages. If it is in that area its been there for many years.

It may well be the same car but not in that location .....
Just seeing whether the person that owns it is into MOPAR and possibly on here (forum) or whether it's just a forgotten (doubt it!) car.
Person who owns the storage says has been there for the past four years - didn't want to ask too much ...

I'm amazed this thread hasn't had more interest! What a find, London must be full of rare cars sitting under cover. Can't believe the owner doesn't know it's value, I'd have that in a lock-up somewhere under CCTV!

I wonder if that Challenger is anything to do with this:

.... as am I ...... perhaps folk think I'm pulling their plonker !
Oddly enough, there is a clue in your thread that may indicate that this is the Challenger in question.
I haven't spoken to the chap who has it yet with regard as to whether it is for sale or not - truth is, I'd have to sell mine to raise the capital ....
If it's possible to be in the "forefront" of my mind and on the "backburner" at the same time, then this is where I'm at ...

Its a Holy Grail car. If its all original numbers matching then that only adds to the value! 8-). I've no doubt though that the person who owns it knows exactly what it is and what its worth. Its value rises faster than any account you can have your money in..........Sad if it is an Investment, but at least its still around!

I agree - I'm almost putting off asking if it's for sale because I don't want to hear either,
"no ! sod-off that's a 426 Hemi- do you have any idea how much that's worth ?"
or
" yes, £75K and it's yours "
.... neither of these answers would be suitable !
sad thing about the interweb - no such things as true "barn finds" any longer, two clicks of a mouse and someone has an appraisal !
I'm going car hunting in Uganda - chances are there's less internet (and adly, equally less MOPAR) !

Could you imagine having this car as your own and not getting the use out of it. It must be deteriorating as we speak
