NEC CLASSIC CAR SHOW 2016 (Club Discount Added)

Post by Steve »

Hi all,

thought it would be a good time to start a thread on the NEC show which is on this year from Friday 11th to Sunday 13th November.

The preparation is in full swing and we have a better placed stand this year in Hall 5. It is open on 3 sides so we will have plenty of exposure to the public.

I will use this thread to post up details of any ticket discounts available etc and look forward to seeing you all there if you can make it.

Hi Shaun....yes...we do have a club stand and usually show four or so cars at the event. We have contact with various members at the shows throughout the year and the committee get the ball rolling quite early in the 'season' to find members willing to commit to the 3/4 days and show their cars. We have been going there for some time and a lot of our members who want to get involved come and help out on the stand for a few hours during their visit.

We have various yearly themes that allow us to show perfectly restored cars, through interesting original cars to drag cars etc. The wheels are in motion for this year as the logistics can take a while to sort out but thanks for your interest and support. We will bear you in mind for future events if thats ok?

Cheers Steve

We'll be there as early as we can on the Friday but will be trying to get round to see everything so hopefully some other kind souls will be able to lend a hand :)

Are you able to go public with a list of cars for the stand yet? :-k

Not yet, there are some last minute issues.
Anyway, would you not prefer a surprise? ;)

Hi Sean, just in case you have never been before, this is a very structured show and the MMA has a display stand that has been agreed months ago with space for 4 cars.

It is not a "normal" show so there is no provision to turn up and park a group of cars together as per most outdoor shows.

Of course many MMA members come to the event, as it is often seen as the last "get together" of the season, but the vast majority use their daily drivers as you will be shepherded into huge tarmac car parks.

I hope this makes sense and I hope you still come to see us!
