This question goes out to all the engine builders out there;

LA 318: The engine is NOT a performance/big horse power engine - Daily driver (Miss Daisy style) - and no it will not be considered for tweaking and up-rating. That's another project.

When selecting replacement cam bearings which would be your preferred manufacturer?

Criteria;
  • Durability
    Quality of material
    Fit
    Tolerences
The providers to choose from are as follows (try and stick to those listed please)

Clevite
Dura-Bond
King Engine Bearings

the price point on the above is close from the particular supplier so in this instance it is not a factor.

I would use any of them, there is next to no load / wear on cam bearings.

I've had Cleevite in both chevy and mopars

Never had a problem.

Suspect they all come out of the same factory in China or Mexico anyway.

Rockauto are cheap for stuff like this and shipping reasonable

I would be more concerned about who is fitting them & how. As Pete says they are not a high load area. I always changed them as I had blocks hot tanked & you can clean out everything better with them out but installation is critical & I've seen some installed badly over the years.

Yep, agree with all of the above.
