Good article that I think most of us don't really want to consider.
I have that Summit prop loop. Not difficult to install and worth the cost.
I also now have modern seat belts installed too. Bigger brakes.
When I bought tyres I checked out the stickiest ones available in my price bracket with no interest in whether they looked period: they don't.
Il probably spend more on better tyres again next time.

Only had a propshaft break once, Bedford CF van, it pole vaulted it about 4ft off the ground at 60mph (flat out downhill with a tail wind!) happened so quick there wasn't time to be scared.

Had one break on the motorway, luckily rapidly broke both UJ's and threw the prop clear after it had wrecked the gearbox and smashed up the floor. Seen a few front UJ's break at he Pod startline, no big deal if the car is stationary, whole other thing if it happens mid track. If a rear one breaks, the prop is liable to come through the floor even if the car is stationary.

The part of the 727 that is the weak spot is the so called sprag. Blue or Dunc will correct me but basically if you burn out in first gear the sprag is spinning at twice engine rpm, breaks loose of the clips that retain it and comes free through the trans case and floor and maybe yer leg tooðŸ˜±
I damaged mine with a bad burn out/stage and it sounded like demon was chewing it's way around the trans.
Limped home and pulled the trans for a heavy duty rebuild inc bolt in sprag kit
