Delayed container

Post by ronfenton »

The delays to this container appear to be non stop unfortunately.

The container was due to load on the 23rd August and the initial delay was because Maersk relocated their operations from the Port of Miami to Port Everglades.

Hurricane Harvey in Houston then caused further delays because most vessels originate from there.

We have today received an email from the port authority saying the port is effectively closing and will not accept any containers. At this point we would like to think the container will now load next week on the 13th but the port have said they will inspect the damage after the weekend when Irma has been and gone. I will update here as soon as I know. At this point we can still accept goods.

Cheers, Ron
