Green Bearings

Just about to fit green bearings to the axle and found this picture of a set fitted. Is this right? Looks to me like the flange should be the other side of the snap ring on the bearing else what's to stop the axle shaft working it's way out?

Yes it's right, in the top picture, the groove you can see in the bearing is for the o ring to stop it leaking oil, the snap ring that stops it from walking out is covered by the end plate gasket.

Thanks Blue, I didn't see the gasket until you pointed it out. Anyway the jobs done, the second one was a lot easier than the first as usual.
1970 Road Runner, 505CI, 4 speed, GV overdrive, 3.91 gears.
11.98 @ 117mph on street tyres
