Hmm.. Was gonna put one in this year but was talked out of it by a couple of people who said my 8 3/4 wouldnt stand it. Theyre probably right but Im still tempted.

Roger Luty stuck one in his TH400 and gained 2 tenths but had to buy a 9 inch to live behind it as it shreaded his 12 Bolt.

I can match his best 60 foot time though on a foot brake

I would think you would need quite a loose converter (3800+) to get the most out of a 'brake, it's just a means of holding the car stationary so that you can get the engine revs up without the car pulling forward or spinning the tyres, if your coverter is quite tight it might not be much of an improvement for the cost involved. TH 350's are not that strong a box and I don't think it would last too long with that sort of abuse. 'Brakes are hard on parts, (nearly as bad as a 4 speed I would think) so if your drivetrain has a weak link it will soon find it.

the main reason we are thinking of fitting 1 is that the altered hasn,t got any front brakes, the box is 1 of TCI,s racing jobs and the rear end is a full Mark Williams (the car has run with a Keith Black hemi) so hoppfully we wont have a problem with them.
