So I get plenty of different responses to the car when out, usually positive, but sometimes someone will look at it as if they have a bad smell under their nose, especially in Lewes, (full of hippies and greens). Anyway, there I sat in the at the lights, gently polluting and trying not to catch any ones eye so I'm not halfway through a discussion on fuel consumption with some passing builder just as the lights change when a very short, smartly dressed and quite old lady bounds up, sticks her head through the window and with a broad smile (and broader American accent) says "I learned to drive in one of those", then tootles off down the road.
Just made me smile.
