information
hi all,has any one on here used rock auto for parts, wanted to find out if there is duty to be paid on top of it,when they arrive here, hoping to get a crankshaft of them for a pontiac, have tried to get one in the uk ,but i havent had any luck.i did read some where that if you pay for the postage ,and use fed ex,that you wont pay any extra ,when they arrive here.?have seen on here that you can get a 5% discount of them, thanks, mick
Re: information
Hi,
When you order and preview delivery options, It will say whether import duty is still to pay. From memory Fed-Ex collects the duty and you get a VAT number. With the thieving Post Office/Royal mail they collect the duty from you before they deliver and then charge you (around £10) for sending the money to the UK customs !!!
cheers
