Hi everyone...
I need a little part that sits BEHIND the door strike plate for my 1970 Charger... I have one for the passenger side (so have photographed that one) - need one for the driver's side...
SEE PIX - anyone have one I could buy?
Anyone know what it is called?

Looks like a captive nut plate. It allows for some adjustment of the striker latch when you're trying to get the doors to fit.
If you're stuck you could probably make one. Use the other side as your template. Draw around it on a piece of card, flip it over, mark it out on a piece of apropriately thick steel, cut it out and then using the original as a reference mark, drill and tap the holes.

Agree probably quicker and cheaper to make your own, it holds a rectangular threaded plate that moves around to give some adjustment.

yeah that's a part most of us never want to see

you striker bolt with the roller bit screws into it
my guess is you need a rusted out hulk to nick one off
and i guess one off the back of a 4 door would be just as effective and 1/2 the price

.
breakers or second hand parts suppliers....would be the go, get one cut off before the rest goes to the crusher.
American vehicle dismantlers in google pops up a range of likely candidates and id suggest one off anything that had torsion bar suspension would do
i.e late 50s to early 80s
