Hi all,

We have been offered a club stand again at the NEC Classic motor show. It is always a great event and is a fantastic opportunity to show off our cars to the masses. It is open to the public from Friday 8th until Sunday 10th Of November 2019.

We are asking for volunteers who want to display their car and can commit on the morning of Thursday 7th Nov 2019 to deliver it to us and collect it again on the evening of Sunday 10th Nov 2019. You don't have to be with the car over the 3 public days but we would love it if you could as its a good laugh and we can't possibly answer all the questions we will get about it. It goes without saying that the show is very secure and the cars will be safe.

As we are a small club, we don't have the funds to pay costs incurred (fuel, travel, hotels etc) but you do get free entry to the show and I always bring biscuits etc.

If you are interested, please let me know by posting here (with a pic of your car please) or by PM if you prefer. I can't guarantee that everyone will get to go as we only have space for 3 cars but if you don't get picked this year then I'm sure you will get a chance next year.

If you fancy some different cars this year Steve... we'd be happy, nay honoured to have our Sport Satellite on the stand
If there's a 50 years of the 1969 model year theme, even better, but if there's no theme, happy to offer it anyway!

I am collating a list and will get back to you all ASAP. Jon, you are a star, Likewise, my Polara is available as a last minute stand in car if needed. Mine has been on the stand before and it really was the highlight of my ownership of the car....great fun

We have a list now of cars that we are trying to keep under wraps (sort of) so that its a nice surprise when we attend. Thank you to everyone who responded and for your continued support of the club. I cant wait for the show and to see everyone.
