Fuel line on my Polara

Hi All,
Just a quick question that hopefully wont pose to many issues.....
Went to take my Polara for a run out today but found I had a fuel pipe leak above the fuel filter where the flex pipe meets the steel pipe from the carb. I managed to do a quick bodge job with another jubillee clip but would like to re do the fuel pump to carb lines in a better, more reliable way.
Can anyone suggest a good replacement system of fittings/pipes etc that's a bit more robust. I'm not a fan of braided lines as they would look daft on my car.
I have a mechanical fuel pump with a rubber pipe running to a fuel filter, then an anti drain back valve to metal pipe and finally to my Edelbrock 4 BBL 1406. I believe that my valve should be as near to the tank as possible so will take that out of the line that's carb side of the pump. That's a lot of short runs of rubber, jubilee clips etc and asking for issues I think.
Any suggestions / details of suppliers etc gratefully accepted
Cheers Steve
