Hi Pete,
These days we just go in the 'daily' and park in the car park near the leisure centre / swimming pool etc, but there are usually a fair few classics parked in the surrounding roads nearer the common.
I think now that it's open from earlier in the day, there's more coming and going throughout the afternoon than there used to be when it was only open from 4pm, so there may be more opportunities to grab a space?
We took the Plymouth and the Dodge there a few times back when the common was only open from 4pm and the traffic thru the town was so bad we decided to just take the daily park out of the way. We usually just go after work so dont get there till about 6pm which gives a couple of hours to look around before the majority have started to drift off.
But this year I'm having the afternoon off so I'll get there between 2-3 and have a few hours there before it gets too dark
Stu cant make it any earlier than about 6 so will be giving it a miss too
Got there at 3pm, plenty of room in the public car parks thankfully, and the common was still/already quite full. Most of them were Mark Jackson's... he who bought Stuart Keen's old 69 hemi Coronet... well, about 5 cars and about 5 Harleys were his...
Bit light on the Mopars this year, apart from Mark's Coronet and Challenger. Shock horror - no Gen 2 Chargers!! Not that I saw anyway. Ex-Dave McBride and Richard ('Scooby')'s Gen 3 was there plus a nice 71 GTX.
Other than that, just a nice mix of everything from a 1900 Daimler to brand new supercars...

So where's 3MLJ? And how did he drive them all there?
... I'll take the brown XK120. ta.
Dunno, I saw Mark but didn't get to speak to him. I saw him carrying a helmet and wearing a leather jacket when we were leaving so he must have been riding one of the bikes. He must have a lot of trustworthy friends!
