The UK is no longer included in the list to ship worldwide, it appears to be one of the countries in the world that is excluded like North Korea, can ship to Ireland, IOM, Guarm, the bleeding solomon islands, Russia, China, but not mainland UK.
If you are a US seller selling car parts at least, you are not allowed to sell to the UK. and Ebay global shipping is not available.
Looked into the issue, this appears to be ebay policy. in place for a year or so now...
if the seller is selling car parts, new, old, privately, unless they are a business willing to do what rockauto and summit do in respect to shipping and VAT, they can't sell or ship to the UK. i.e create a UK government gateway account and record sales collect and pay VAT on product and shipping to the UK government for everything they sell into the UK.
so i whatsapped him and we removed ebay from the process, screw them... and he saves on the fees, paypal buyer protection in place.
the shipping via ebay would have been $120 based on costs to ireland, the actual shipping from USPS $40
lets see if i get spanked by customs....
the french would be rioting by now.....
another brexit benefit, idiots came and spoilt my day again....
