need external door mirror internal joystick control pic

can anyone post a pic/tell me what goes in the large round nut that holds the joystick control for the external drivers mirror to the upper doorpad as i have the large nut (about 1 1/2" in diameter) but it seems to have so,ething missing from the middle to Bananarama! off

all i need is a pic of the joystick control fitted to the upper drivers side door pad for the outside rear veiw mirror, i got one off ebay and think that something is missing
