O.K, mustn't drag this out.........

The jobs are to fit new partial floor pans (L&R), very minor welding in the boot and register it so not much really.

While its been on stands and with the column out for the welding I have re furbished the steering column with new bearings and fashioned a pin for the shifter which now operates with next to no play and is a delight to operate...I just Bananarama! was hooked up!!

I'm also re painting the dash facia and I have new underlay and black carpets ready to go in.

One fairly major non M.O.T thing is that the rear window will need to come out to repair the rust around the bottom of the rear pillar.

I cant bare to say this but I may just filler it for now and then do it in a month or two. I do have the new seal for it but heck, I haven't even driven it more than a mile or so yet!

I still need to act out the original plan of get it on the road, live with it, enjoy it etc etc...

There's no way I'll leave the rear window work more than a month or two but at the moment if its not M.O.T essential...you know the rest!!

So lots of cosmetic stuff but the main M.O.T requirement type job is the floor pans.

Its the end of term this week for me and I hope to have it M.O.T'd before the schools go back.

BTW, I bought this muscle car DVD at Halfords today(only place open, needed thinners) called ''Muscle Cars''....power to the people'
It's not bad. Funny though as it has a picture of a challenger on the front and doesn't even feature one!

Should be out and about in no time then :) For the rust, I'd suggest putting duct tape over it - easier to remove than filler and you won't be tempted to leave it 'till later to fix properly ;)

That DVD has clopped up on the forum before ... it was a while back though. For musclecar DVDs check out Powerpoint Communications (in the traders list), they have all sorts of interesting ones ;)
