It that the Gold coloured one that was on eBay a few months ago? If it was you beat me to it by an hour or so!! Good luck getting a front screen here in the UK mate. You might have to send off to OZ for one. I also have a VJ 770 but its in need of a full resto, just now its in primer and needs some welding done, I bought all the rust repair sections from OZ. I just need someone to do the work now.

Looking forward to seeing your pics.

For posting pics you have to click 'Add Attachment' after browsing for the one you want, otherwise it doesn't add them ;)

All the info on using the board can be found in the Guidelines & Tips, click on 'Home' in the top left and its down on the left.

James has added a good resizing app as well! Well worth using if your pictures are large.

thanks for the replies guys and gals. I will follow some of those leads about the screen
Tha car is a red one trigger so i guess its a different one to the one you chased. We are hoping to have it on the road for early next year, not going to do a full restoration at the moment just want to gut it up and running and have some fun with it..

Is this the one I looked at in Crowborough,East Sussex? That engine shot looks similar.

Ah I know this one! Excellent to see another in the club.

As far as the screen is concerned: Is it a laminated or toughened screen? They used both, typically the laminated one has a tinted strip across the top. I do have a spare screen somewhere but it isn't perfect, let me know if you are interested.

Also try Autoglass or one of those companies. They did sell these cars here new and you might be surprized at what they could get hold of. Don't expect it to be cheap though!

yay

nice one mate

just picked up a windscreen second hand cos my cracked

however they do make em new in Oz i paid $200 for one 2 years ago but i lived there at the time

Its the shipping to here that gets ya, hence jumped at the chance of a second hand one.

keep in mind that the same screen was used on all VH onwards valiants 71-82 therfore anyone who has one listed my not have it listed as for a charger.

http:\\www.pentastarparts.com.au

email Ray he gets em from somewhere. all are now laminated and come with typical aussie tinting green across the top and slight standard grey window tint to stop the sun bleaching out ya shirt as you drive

buy a rubber and lock strip while you are at it
