New member with a query.
He has a 1949 Chrysler New Yorker fitted with a flathead straight eight engine of 5.3 litres, it needs general servicing, and the question is , what trans fluid should be used as the trans is a "Fluid Drive" , which sounds similar to a preselector system with a small gear lever like Routemaster Buses.
Any info at all on these early cars would be much appreciated.
