Thanks Mick, I'll give it a try but don't think it will come away as I loosen it as I had to tighten the bolts up to draw it in the last bit.....?

It had an old 23 spline 4 speed in when I got it, was cheaper to replace the whole lot than repair it so went for the hemi box, measured up okay for depth before I started.

Worried gear box install...................!

Happy New Year Guys!!!
Put the new gearbox in (A833) in the roadrunner new years day, measured everything up....seemed okay, tried 2 pilot bushings (even after freezing them) couldn't get them to fit so used the pilot roller bearing route, new clutch in to suit the 18 spline etc. bell housing on etc ...

A good seat upholsterer

Can anyone recommend a good interior upholsterer? The tombstone buckets in the roadrunner need side bolsters and I don't want to put new buckets or anything else in there. I'm not too bad as I have the steering wheel to hold onto but our lass gets dangerously close on right hand corners lol.

I hired a car transporter from a guy in Nottingham (Mapperly) worked out at £90 a day I think. There was a £100 deposit etc. but used it to pick my truck up from Felixstowe. PM me if you want the details.

I had a.........cough.....48 Chevy shipped by Kingstown Shipping, bought from Washington 3000 km from Florida. They charged $999 for transport from Washington to Florida and £1400 odd for Shipping in a container to Felixstowe. Excellent service, container tracking etc. I will definitely use them ...
