Just bit the bullet and ordered the Hellcat - part ex for my SRT.

Sublime green. Should get delivery next month hopefully.

Apparently sublime will reduce its resale value substantially, but I don't think that's the point in buying a hellcat...

No buyers remorse here... I'm looking forward to it

Thanks again guys. I think the whole classic charger thing was just me getting excited about the whole mopar thing again. In honesty it's probably going to continue to sit for a while, having reflected on the situation.

I would love to have it to cruise occasionally on a Saturday morning but in my ...

Am i the only one reading this who is staggered that a 69 charger has been evicted onto the driveway for a (mere) 2012 challenger ?? That seems a little odd to me. i mean, nice challenger and all, but its only a new daily isnt it ? It'll depreciate like crazy then you'll sell it. I know which I ...

Regarding the charger, I just had a better look over it and it appears to be in worse nick than I thought. The bondo on the rear quarters are blistered/splitting, and rust where the metal is. I don't know much about bodywork but I think it needs new panels or a lot of welding.

I tried to peel the ...

Hi

I'm based in Mitcham London
I can certainly sort any issue with your charger and make it reliable.
Please call me to discuss.

Anton

Thanks Anton, You are 1 hour 20 min from me so this could work out.

I'm aiming to go over it this weekend and remind myself and make a list of what's wrong ...

Peeling general lee stickers off - paint fade marks?

Hi, I want to take the stickers of my general to have a nice orange charger, but worried that underneath the orange may be a slightly different shade.

It was sprayed/stickered about 10 yeas ago. Most of which has been garaged by me. Otherwise under a cover. Little sun exposure as far as I know ...

There are several problems with running a car that is 40-50 years old.

First of all you have to assume EVERYTHING mechanical is worn out and messed about with by previous owners.

Second, All the electrics can work after a fashion but after this amount of time they are going to be inefficient ...

I realize that I no longer have the inclination or interest in repairing these old cars. But I still wanna own one. That leaves me with three options. Buy a latest Generation Challenger/Camaro. Source a car thats had a modern Transplant or three, get someone local to do all the work. (Not really ...

Guys, would you say it's possible to run a classic without getting your hands dirty?

i.e. do any of you use a local garage whenever there is a problem and have a total spanner-free arrangement, or are you all fixing the little niggles yourselves?

Ken. I have run my 1985 Dodge Ram 360 daily for ...

Welcome back...... :thumbright:

Anton on here is highly reccomended and without doubt would be able to at least diagnose the issues the car has. As for sourcing parts etc you would have to speak to him.

I believe he is very busy though (a good sign i'd say)!

Get the GL back on the road and go ...

I agree they sound pretty mad with WOT, but idle and cruising sounds tame both inside and outside the cabin IMO

Personal preference I guess

I hear the hellcat has a very good stock exhaust though from an interview with the engine guy on one of the youtube videos

Hopefully not. But thanks for the info. As far as I'm concerned mine is reserved. I guess I better keep my dealership quiet then in case I end up in a bidding war (!)

Well, thanks for the heads-up in the PM. :D

Im kidding, I would never d such a thing. :)

Haha, no problem - I presume there ...
