no
I have that size tyre on 8" with 4" backspace and its pretty close at that
those wheels would space them out further

should be perfect with an 8" wheel. If the car is low on the springs, there may be occasional inner arch rub though.

will 15 x 8" rims with 3/3/4" backspacing be ok then front and back with the same tyres?

this is with 4" backspace you could probably gain 1/2" by rolling the wheelarch lip
I've put arrows where it is close to rubbing
having the car a bit higher might leave more room as well

I think North East Trev has 3 and 3/4 backspace daisy mags on his and has problems with rubbing.

I have 8.5x15 on the back with 4.5 backspace, fitted with 275/60/15 and no rubbing

That'll be ok as long as it's not been seriously lowered :)

Backspacing

Ok, while we're on this subject. Does anyone know if 7 x 14" rims with 245x60 rubber & 3. 11/16" backspacing will go under my 73 Duster? 4.5" PCD if that makes any difference. Thanks, Wayne.

68 Charger Tyres

Sean,
We fitted both 275/60 and 70 profiles on Adams 68 both fitted on 8.5 rims not sure of the backspace but it was within 1/2 of the springs.
The 70 ripped off the trims and rubbed in the corners so 60 is the max.
50 should be fine with right backspacing.
Don't forget the radius will change and the difference between 50 and 70 is about 7" per rev that's a lot of gas on a run.
Hope it helps
Bob
