Cheers for all the welcomes and comments you lot :D Do any of you know how to decipher vin plates? I'm specially interested in finding out what engine was originally in the Fury, coz i'm thinking it was a 383. Its got 'commando v8' badges on the front wings, i know they could have been an 'add on' but i'm not sure. Also if it was 383 equipped, does that mean a 440 could be fitted? Oh by the way i saw a few of your cars up at shakey last weekend, cool cars and good runs 8-) :thumbright:

I'm sure those earlier vin# only give the type, not size of engine. /6 or V8.
