BUMPER

Post by Jem »

Does anyone know of someone who can straighten a steel bumper? It's
slightly bent on the bottom of the off side leading edge. It's a mild curve, not a dent.

All depends how bad it is,all I ever use is angle iron or thick timber wrapped in an old blanket and some heavy duty G clamps.

About 25 years ago, I tried tapping a bent corner straight by reversing gently into a brick wall. Knocked the whole wall down. Hope Adur District Council aren't reading this...

Thought you would have been more subtle than that Adam - sounds like the sort of thing I'd do!

Like the idea of the G clamps - sounds like a plan does that!

My method worked on the Fury loop bumper,it was bent back about 1 1/2" on the offside. When I got the car it had a hard smack that side which had put the back edge of the wing through the windscreen. At least i didn't have to ship one over.
