How do i remove my steering wheel?

'66 Belve, rim blow steering wheel, no visible means of attachment :evil:
PLEASE someone tell me to get the damn thing off!

steering wheel puller ... not the claw/hook type the type that bolts !
could make one ..but quicker to bye one ..not expensive ..


or one of these does the same job .... got mine from machine mart

Sorry shoulda bin more specific... my problem is how do i get at the nut?
The horn bit covers the centre with a Plymouth badge. No way to pry it off, no visible screws, clips or anything :help:
No-one will believe you...

That's the sort of thing he would know, I've got to admit I've never removed a rim blow type wheel.
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

think the centre just twists anitclock wise ... bit like the woodgrain three spoke centre horn pad

My (later) rim blow has two screws at the back,dash side.Take these out and the front falls out.
1965 Belvedere 2 426 Wedge.

Thanks boys, i'll have another look but i'm sure there's no screws. If not i'll try twisting it as firmly as i dare!

steveo- you win :thumbright:
A firm 1/8 turn anti-clockwise and off it popped.
Got me biggest Thammer to no avail- then noticed the two threaded holes either side of the spindle :oops:
A simple puller was fashioned from a flat bar wi 2 holes, two long bolts and a spacer of suitable length. Easy.

Now i need to repair all the age/ stress cracks in the steering wheel plastic.
Some sort of coloured resin? Seem to remember Blue had a method :-k
