Servo problem - B Body

Post by EMU »

When I start the car, the brake pedal does not move or work the brakes. This indicates a servo problem I believe. The pipe to the engine looks ok, but connot fathom the conection to the servo. Should it just pull out?

After a couple of minutes everything works perfectly. Anyone know what the problem is please?

The vac hose may be collapsing internally,or there could be a crack that closes as it gets warm. The non return valve on the servo may be sticking. The connection into the servo is the non return valve and is pushed into a rubber grommet,it should come out with a twist and pull.

I had that - the Servo had failed, you could hear it exhaling....

Thanks for that, will start with the non-return valve, and hope I do not need a new servo,

Failed to make MMA meet as unwell, but looking forward to next one.
Have tried to pick up a new non-return valve for servo, but no success yet.

Anyone suggest a supplier for this ?
Need to sort this as itching to get axel ratio changed next.
