Rear brake hose

Post by Dave-R »

I lost my temper with the rear brake hose on the Chally when I was trial fitting the exhaust. So I cut the damn thing off. :x

So now I need a new one.

I have braided hose at the front and so would like to fit the same at the rear.

Any idea where I can get one made up? Speedflow?
Or anyone seem them ready made?

Any idea what fittings I need to ask for on the ends?

Dave, do you know if your brake connections are the originals?

I know this doesn't help you a lot, but you need to find out whether they are say 7/16 imperial or have been replaced with 11mm metric.

That's good news Dave, if you can be patient, I'll find the specs, because I measured all the originals on my Road Runner and provided Automec in Buckingham with all the specifications so they could produce complete factory matched brake system replacements.

Just got to find where I put the specs now...

To ID the thread, measure the O/D (outside diameter), then count the TPI (threads per inch) then cross reference with a thread chart (ie Zeus tables) or google it (ie npt thread sizes)
