not sure wot you mean about spacer cant remember a spacer, when i put it back together i put the one with the adjuster in first then the other one,im a bit worried about this spacer cant recall one unless its in my old diff?
cheers steve

as far as the manual says you need to put the none adjustable one in first and tap it to seat it and the tighten the bolts and them install the other side and again tap is to seat it and then tighten the bolts and do the adjustment.
the spacer is called a thrust block. Its a long round steel bar with a elongated hole in it and is directly in the middle of the half shafts and is about the same diameter as the shafts. It is fixed in with a pin but if the diff has been dismantled it my have been left out.

Back the adjuster right off (pas side) , button the drivers side up , nip adjuster back up & whack the shaft a couple of times , go round to drivers side & give that a couple of whacks , set endfloat , job done.
or stick a set of green bearings in & forget about adjuster/endfloat.
If you look through the axle you can see the spacer.

ive read on some other forums that you have to remove thrust block to use green bearings with a sure grip.ive took shafts out & put driver side in first but no difference, trouble is dont know wot it was like before didnt check it just took it apart.just wondering if when i pulled half shafts out first time maybe i could have pulled bearing off slightly & now its not going in as far as it should could that be an option.
