My linelock doesn't hold unless I apply it twice. Brake, switch linelock on, release the brake pedal then brake again and release linelock then switch it on again. I'm not the only one who has to do this either so I don't worry about it. Pretty sure it's its a Hurst linelock too just badged as Summit.

Sounds like you have air in the system. When you bleed the brakes after fitting did you use an easyblead or simular or did you just pump away at the brake pedal( i hope not) if you did you may have taken the edges of the seals in the M/C. Did you fit it to the front or rear brakes?

tried the double brake thing, funny hurst mention that in their paperwork, i thought that it was a mistake ! anyway didnt work, gonna go to local mot place and ask them to check out the front brakes first and go from there

Think this has a lot to do with discs or shoes , i take it Mick has the line lock solinoid holding the fronts being a 4 speed , bearing in mind calipers have a much larger displacement area than a cylinder , i have the line lock operating the rears with no issues , maybe if the fronts were drum brakes all would be good with one stab @ the peddle.
