Mick, have you still got any 2M kit? If so, perhaps we should sort it out, I think I have a dual band under the bed, hang on a min? Yep have a Kenwood dual band vhf/uhf there.... No antenna though, sure I can make up a little 1/4 wave.

The FT290 was the only 2m rig I ever owned and that has been long gone. I had a 70cm handheld at one time as well but can't remember what happened to it. The only gear I have left is HF stuff but it hasn't been fired up for years.

If anyone has a spare CB or one that's well cheap then let me know. I need one. Going in the dart, together with my chest wig, buck teeth and medalion. But seriously I am on the lookout. £10 waiting

be careful with the ones eBay Ive bought a couple and they switch on but don't work need to find someone that can fix them for me got a rotel rvc 240 in my truck with 2 modulators and 100w burner and re verb
