I think this is my own doing. Another problem caused by working while not completely "with it" last year.
I seem to remember taking the line lock apart for some reason. Maybe because it had come loose in some way.
I suspect there should be a spring around the outside of the plunger to hold the seal open until the solenoid is engaged. I must have dropped it or lost it or something without realising.
I have found a few things on the car lately that are not right. So I have been very carefully going through everything again to double check if I did anything else "mad".
Found I had connected up the GV overdrive to a permanent live instead of switched the other day. Why did I do that?
