Wheel studs

Post by Birdman »

I have some new alloys with unilug spacing, but, need to get alloy wheel lugs. Can I replace the wheel studs from the 7/16 RH front ( discs) and the 7/16 RH/LH combo ( drums) with 1/2 RH? Where is the best place to source the studs? Any help from all you knowledgeable guys would be appreciated.
Cheers
Chris

not all studs are the same, i produce billet ali hubs and the company i manufacture them for supply the studs (all 1/2" unf) the part that presses into the hub isnt always the same (0.04" or 1mm different) so be carefull what you buy, they need to be a good press fit in the hub.
too much is never enough

Thanks for the advice guys, this is exactly why I asked for help; these things can be a bit of a minefield, so to speak.
