8-3/4 rear

Ive got an 8-3/4 on the back of the dodge. I fitted an aubern lsd two years ago, I have just fitted green bearings on the shaft and the diff now feels very tight, the car was very hard to push at shakie, anybody any ideas, cheers Dave

I've read that you may have to remove the thrust button from inside the suregrip when green bearings are fitted, it's only needed with the tapered bearings. Mine is still fitted and I fitted green bearings years ago. Did the flange on the second half shaft you fitted push right up to the diff ok? If it didn't and you pulled it up with the nuts you may be crushing the bearings.

Just a thought?

Did you leave the axle seals in???

Been told to take 'em out???

Otherwise the Green bearings overheat and seize :shock:

Would like to hear other opinions on this scary matter :shock: :shock: :shock:
